Coloratura sensation Alexandra Flood joins flutist Jonathan Henderson and pianist Vatche Jambazian for an unforgettable evening that honours the artistry of Dame Joan Sutherland – “La Stupenda” herself.
Experience the brilliance of arias and works made famous by Sutherland, alongside breathtaking music that captures the dialogue between the soprano voice and its closest companion, the flute. From the emotional drama of Les Huguenots and Lucia to the shimmering elegance of Delibes, and Bach, this program promises moments of pure virtuosity and radiant beauty.

Acclaimed Australian tenor Andrew Goodwin joins Queensland Song as our guest faculty to lead a series of masterclasses focusing on Slavic song. Alongside his long-time collaborator Daniel de Borah, Head of Collaborative Piano at the Queensland Conservatorium, they present a captivating recital featuring Schumann’s Dichterliebe alongside cornerstone works of the Russian repertoire from Rimsky-Korsakov, Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninov.
